For private sellers
One page for the car you’re selling.
Not a listing on a classifieds site, but a page of its own, at its own address: the specification decoded from the VIN, your photographs and your price. You send the link to whoever you want.
Sharing it
How buyers get to it.
There is no list of cars here for buyers to browse. You take the page to them, and wherever you put the link, it opens the same page.
In your listing
Where your ad can carry a link, add it. The ad brings the buyer, the page has the rest.
In a text or a chat
It opens as a card with the photo, the price and the mileage.
In a group post
A few lines and the link. The photos and the facts are one tap away.
In the car window
Print the sign from your page. A phone scan opens the same page.
Who this is for
WheelSheet is for private sellers who want to sell a car without anybody in the middle.
- One carYou are selling one car, not running a lot.
- The whole carThe car is worth more than one photograph and a price.
- The same questionsYou would rather not answer is it still available six times a day.
- Your numberYou would rather it was not sitting on the open internet.
- Not a dealerYou do not want to be taken for one.
- Done it beforeYou have sold a car privately and did not enjoy it.
How it works
Make the page, send the link,
sell the car.
- 01
Make the page
The VIN fills in the specification, you add photographs, the mileage, a price and what you want to say about the car. About five minutes.
- 02
Put the link where you want it
One address you can text, post in a local group, or print as a card with a QR code and tape inside the window. You decide who gets it.
- 03
Talk to the buyer yourself
They read the facts before they call, so the conversation starts past the questions the page already answered. The sale is yours: we are never in the middle of it.
Making the page
Five screens, five minutes and it's done.
You need the VIN, a few good photographs and the things every owner already knows about their own car.
- 01The VIN
- 02The car
- 03Condition and price
- 04Photos and your words
- 05Publish
What a buyer sees
One page with the whole car on it.
No account, no app, nothing to scroll past. What follows is a real page made here, for a car we invented so nobody mistakes it for one that is for sale.
- 01The photographsUp to ten, and every one opens full screen. The first is the one a buyer sees in a text message.
- 02Thirteen factsYear, make, model, trim, engine, transmission, drive, fuel, power, doors, the colors inside and out, the mileage and the title status.
- 03What the seller saysTheir own claims, ticked from a list: no accidents, one owner, service records, title in hand. Labelled as claims, because we have checked none of them.
- 04What it hasThe equipment a buyer scans for, from CarPlay to a tow package, so nobody reads a paragraph to find it.
- 05The seller's own wordsIncluding, on a good page, what is wrong with the car. The example owns up to a scuff on the bumper and photographs it.
- 06The phone number, behind a tapNever sitting in the page where anything that crawls it can take it.
- 07Five steps for buying it safelyRun the VIN, see it in daylight, have it inspected, read the title, pay in a way that clears.
Where we fit
What WheelSheet does that a listing or a post cannot.
WheelSheet is not a classifieds site and does not replace one. Keep the advert or the group post if it is working: this is the page it points at, where the whole car is, in one place.

What it costs
Most private sales either happen or stall inside the first 10 days, and no card is asked for, so there is nothing to cancel if yours sells in a week.
- The specification, decoded from the VIN
- Up to 10 photographs
- The window sign, with its QR code
- The preview card that shows up in a text message
- The count of people who actually opened the page
- The same page, at the same address
- Every link you have sent and the sign in the window keep working
- Corrections, as often as you like
- Marking it sold, which takes the page down
- No commission: we never touch the money
Guides
Guides to selling a car yourself.
- Private sale, trade-in or instant offer
The three ways out of a car, what each one really pays, the tax rule that can close the gap, and how to work out which is worth it for the car you have.
- How to prepare a car for sale
What is worth spending money on before you list a car, what is not, and the hour of work that changes how much a buyer believes the rest of your listing.
- Selling a car safely
How to sell a car privately without being scammed: which payment methods clear and which do not, where to meet, how to run a test drive, and how to hand over the title.
- The paperwork for a private car sale
The documents a private car sale runs on: the title, a bill of sale, the odometer reading and your state's notice of sale. What each one does, and the order they are signed in.
- Selling a car you still owe money on
The lender holds the title, so the payoff has to happen inside the sale rather than after it. How that works, what to ask for in writing, and the safest place to do it.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to sell a car privately here?
Nothing for the first 10 days. If the car has not sold and you want the page to stay up, extending costs $9.90 for 30 days. There is no commission on the sale, no listing fee and no charge for the paperwork.
Is this a marketplace where buyers browse cars?
No, and that is the point. There is no catalogue and no feed of listings. You get one page for your car and you decide who sees it: people you text, a local group, or somebody reading the sign in your window.
Will my phone number be visible to anyone who opens the page?
No. The number is hidden until a buyer taps to see it, which keeps it out of the reach of anything scraping pages for numbers to call.
What happens when the car sells?
You mark it sold and the page comes down the same day, photographs included. Anyone opening a link you sent weeks ago sees that the car is gone rather than a page that pretends it is still for sale.
Do I need an account before I can start?
No. You build the page first and give an email address at the end, which is what creates the account. There is no password to invent or forget: signing in later means opening a link we email you.
Your car, shown properly.
About five minutes from your driveway to a link you can send to anyone. Free for the first 10 days, and nothing to cancel if it sells.
